Win a Sony video camera kit worth over £1,000 in the Skandia video competition during Skandia Cowes Week.

The Sony Skandia Cowes Week Video Award will be won by the person who submits the best sequence of footage, shot during the week, using your own video camera or one of Sony’s loan kits.

Each day six Sony camera kits will be made available to competitors in Skandia Cowes Week to enable them to film the action of the day out on the water. Whether it’s the skipper in meltdown, a tangle at a busy mark or simply a sequence of beautiful images from The Solent.

Don’t worry if the loan cameras are all allocated – you can use your own camera and submit the tape to enter the competition.

Video will be collated at the end of each day by the Skandia Cowes Week Host Broadcaster – APP Broadcast – and may be incorporated in the daily Video News Release from the event that is distributed via satellite to national broadcasters and news desks across the nation. It could also feature on the Seamaster Sailing TV series and monthly DVD – www.seamastersailing.com.

Judging will be by representatives of Skandia Cowes Week, Offshore Challenges Sailing Team, APP Broadcast and Sony and the prize will be awarded at the end of week at the Skandia prizegiving.
