Following the tragic death of Dave Ovington (see previous news story here), the Ovington family have appointed and interim management team led by Dave’s son Adam Ovington (Managing Director). The team comprises Martin Jones (Commercial and Strategy), Ray Outterside (Composite Production and Quality Assurance) Dave Hall (Sales and Marketing) Veronica Brown (Finance).

Ovington Boats is one of the world’s most successful boat building businesses. Founded in 1975 the business has built an enviable reputation for quality and service across a wide range of products including 49ers, 29ers, Musto Skiffs, Flying 15s and Mumm 30s.

The management team with the support of the highly experienced and professional workforce is committed to maintaining the high production standards and quality customer support which have been the hallmark of Ovington Boats.

Julian Bethwaite, who flew from Australia to attend Dave’s funeral last Wednesday, commented: “I am deeply saddened by the loss of Dave, a truly great boat builder and a close friend. I have met with the new management team all of whom I have known for some time and the workforce, with whom I have always been impressed, and am delighted that they will be continuing on with the business. I have assured them of my full support.”
