Future Direction of Keelboat Racing in the Solent forum takes place this Saturday 7/3/07
Sportsboat and IRC racers concerned about the future of keelboat racing in the Solent, and who are keen to help influence its direction should head to the Royal Southern Yacht Club this Saturday afternoon (10 March) for theFuture Direction of Keelboat Racing in the Solentforum.
The event, which will focus on types of events, race courses and management, is being facilitated by a panel of ‘movers and shakers’ including Stuart Quarrie, Chief Executive of Cowes Week; Jonty Sherwill, well known racer and yacht designer; Tony Lovell, international race officer whose credits include Tour de France à la Voile. Mike Urwin, Technical Director of the RORC Rating Office will also be there.
The forum, which is free of charge, starts at 1600 and is scheduled to last for two hours.
