Angostura Sail Week in Tobago is celebrating its 25th year and is an event to end the Caribbean sailing season with a bang. Running from 13 until the 18 May, it attracts regional and international sailors, offering some exciting offshore and inshore racing.

Held in the southwest of the island on the Caribbean Sea with winds fluctuating between 12 and 20 knots with the occasional gust hitting 24 knots, conditions are great for racing. Each race lasts three to four hours with five different classes.

The Opening Ceremony begins on Sunday evening before the first race commences on Monday. The first two days will be based out of Store Bay, and then Wednesday is spent at Coral Lagoon, otherwise known as No Mans Land with its lagoon and onshore sporting activities. After the Prize Giving Ceremony at the end of the week, there’ll be plenty of partying with Angostura Rum Punch while you dance the night away Caribbean-style to the sounds of soca music.
