Class 40 sailor Joé Seeten has reported damaged to the keel of his Pogo 40 TMI Technologies.

Seeten who was lying a creditable eighth place in the 25-boat fleet activated his Sarsat beacon at 14h50, approximately 640 miles south-west of the Azores. Although we have few details on the incident it seems that Seeton has also damaged his shoulder.

The race organisers and the MRCC in Norfolk are currently coordinating rescue operations. More news when we have it.
