On the third day of racing at the Yngling worlds in Santander, Spain a one metre northerly swell combined with 10knt north westerlies made for some tricky conditions as the fleet sailed races 5 and 6.

Olympic gold medallist Shirley Robertson and team mates Sarah Ayton and Sarah Webb enjoyed the conditions and a third and fifth place saw them jump twelve places up the score board to twelfth place overall.

Dutch sailors Annalies Thies, Annemieke Bes and Petronella De Jong are currently leading the fleet, however points are close and they are tied with second placed Dorte O’Jensen, Helle Jespersen and Rachel Kiel of Denmark.

Today sees the fleet enjoy a lay day before racing the final four races on 14 and 15 May.
