The 2006/2007 18ft Skiff season gets underway this Sunday on Sydney Harbour 6/10/06
The 2006/2007 Season gets under way this Sunday (8 October) on Sydney Harbour when the Australian 18 Footers League conducts the traditional Alf Beashel Memorial Trophy.
A fleet of 24 skiffs will line up each week this season in a bid to qualify for Australia in the JJ Giltinan (World) Championship, which will be sailed on the harbour next February.
Defending champion Michael Coxon will sail a brand-new skiff for a new sponsor – Fiat – while a rookie crew headed by Seve Jarvin will bring the Channel Seven name back to the skiffs with another new skiffGotta Love It 7.
