New Series – Instant Expert
We introduce a new series by Andrew Roberts, who brings Yachting World the benefit of his knowledge of what does and does not work on hard-used yachts. For September he looks at how to make the most of late season cruising.

Andrew Roberts has been around boats all his life. For 18 years he worked for Challenge Business, responsible for overseeing the design, construction and maintenance of 29 Challenge steel yachts, four Global Challenges and 52 safe circumnavigations against the wind and currents. His last project was Dee Caffari’s record-breaking voyage.

New Series – One amazing moment
Anyone who sails will have had one moment of epiphany – maybe a spectacular sunrise after a difficult night, landfall at the end of a long voyage, a seat-of-the- pants sleighride down big ocean rollers or a moment right to the edge of survival, that is seared into the memory.

In this new series we talk to sailors of every hue and discipline, the famous and those who quietly go their own way in their own fashion about those moments. In September Elaine Bunting talks to round the world racer and high latitudes explorer Skip Novak
