The UK Sailing Academy on the Isle of Wight is looking to introduce as many people in to sailing as possible during 2006.

During Skandia Cowes Week this year (29 July-5 August), Skandia are offering the chance for over 800 people to receive a free one-hour lesson on board a UKSA keelboat. Individuals will receive first class tuition from fully qualified UKSA instructors that will introduce them to the basics of sailing during one of the UK’s most famous sailing regattas.

Individuals from eight years upwards are able to book their free lesson at the UKSA stand within the Skandia tent on the parade, lessons can only be booked at the stand on the day. The free tuition will be available from the 29 July until 5 August with lessons commencing from 0900 daily.

On Thursday 3rd August, there will be a female-only day which is following the initiative ‘Get Women Sailing’ and will hopefully attract many newcomers into the sport.
