The third day's racing at the Tornado Europeans took place in shifty conditions in Cagliari
The third day’s racing at the Tornado European championship at Cagliari took place yesterday in a south-south-westerly breeze of 8-10 knots, increasing 12-14 knots.
The shifty conditions caused a certain amount of place changing at the front of the fleet with the Austrians crew Hagara A./Seidl now in first place, and Hagara R./Steinacher Hans in second, and the French crew Guichard/Espagnon in third.
In the fifth race, for the Mats Nyberg Trophy, the Australian team Bundock/Forbes took the top spot while the Argentinian crew Lange/Espinoza and the Austrian crew Hagara A./Seidl fought it out for second and third place respectively.
