The National 12 Owners Association launched its 2003 Gill Series at the recently held Sailboat and Windsurf Show. With the help of Gill, the global performance and specialist clothing brand, the Series promises to be as much fun and provide as high a quality of sailing and competition as the annual championship.

The 2003 Series, fully supported by Gill, features seven events across the country with the aim of promoting National 12 sailing for all; accessibility and convenience being a big plus point for all National 12 sailors, wherever they’re based.

The Gill series differs from the nationwide series run by other classes as it is encouraging everyone to join in, not just the open meeting elite. Gill is providing generous event prizes and also overall series prizes for youth sailors, family teams and owners of older “Admiral’s Cup” Twelves. At each event there will be a short seminar after sailing on the Saturday to develop (and entertain) the sailors, followed by the fun stuff!

The first Gill Series event is at Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club on the 29-30 March 2003 and the N12 association hopes to see many boats there.
