Looking to buy a boat suitable for solo sailing, main aim being the ostar
I am very interested in what you are trying to do. I raced the last Double handed RBI in Modi Khola, and brought QII back from the last ostar.
I am now looking to buy a boat suitable for solo sailing, main aim being the ostar – mini sailing sounds great but not for me, mainly because I am based in Edinburgh, and want to compete as an amateur.
Present boats under consderation are Modi, and just recently Shockwave. Budget is tight (so am I) so I want something fast but sensible/ simple. Given what you are trying to do I also want something that can “fit in”. For example perhaps I should look at a Figaro as it would be good for ostar and other races, even if I can’t race it the whole time.
I would like to be kept up to date if poss. on the type of things you are up to!!
