Doryan is the arresting new scarlet Baltic, 116ft of pure performance in comfort, designed by Nauta and judel / vrolijk & co

The design brief was for “a timeless and elegant yacht offering long-term living comfort and space for joyful and private down time,” according to the Finnish composite specialists. Think lots of stowage and plentiful tank volume (13,000L), allocated for long term unassisted passage-making.

judel / vrolijk & co designed the hull, and Nauta Design is responsible for the sleek exterior styling and warm interior design. Doryan has the current trend of a hard top carbon bimini – “integral to the Owner’s vision of providing a sheltered position for friends and family to enjoy their cruising,” says Baltic Yachts. She also has an extra large stern garage to house plenty of toys, plus a triple cockpit layout with separate areas for navigation, living, and sunbathing.

Doryan is designed to sail short-handed with push-button controls for all sails at the helm, including the in-boom main, and furlers for the staysail and blade. Her T-keel lifts two metres (to 3.5m) to access waters normally off limits to superyachts.

And remember she’s a Baltic, so is of top-end composite construction. Doryan’s hull is built in vacuum-infused epoxy and carbon sandwich laminate to be stiff, light and strong. She weighs 95 tonnes.

The warm Nauta interior predominantly uses teak, plus maple-striped floorboards to give an elegant, timeless look. The accommodation comprises an owner’s suite and two guest cabins forward. There are two more guest cabins aft, plus three cabins for six permanent crew.
