Spindrift 2, the world’s largest racing trimaran is currently attemptng to beat the non-stop round the world record to win the Jules Verne Trophy.
Competing against IDEC Sport, led by Francis Joyon, this extraordinary match race around the world between two of the biggest and fastest offshore trimarans ever built is providing some fascinating twists and turns as both try to better the record pace of 45 days, 13 hours, 42 minutes and 53 seconds set by Banque Populaire in 2012.

To beat the current record, Spindrift 2 have to complete the circumnavigation by 17:43:51 GMT on 6 January.
