Rain and unsettled weather means no dress rehearsal for the 10 teams
The 10 teams counting down to the TP52 Series racing at Marseille would have wanted the mistral to arrive today (Tuesday 15 June) in time for the official practice race, but the weather situation is looking slightly more messy and complex.
A modest Mistral may come in for the weekend but today it was rain and unsettled breezes which ultimately cancelled the race.
This should not disrupt the mindset of the sailors too much, but with several TP52 teams having made small line up changes then any time on the water in race mode is welcome, not least in refining the crucial pre-start co-ordination and split second timings. With no dress-rehearsal maybe some teams will feel a little more edgy when scheduled racing starts tomorrow.
