This Cup is much more than just the racing as this spectacular display of models demonstrates
Olivier de Kersausan is a name you would normally associate with the record breaking Frenchman and his giant trimaran Geronimo. Here in Valencia, close to the Luna Rossa base, is one of the most spectacular collection of model yachts that I have ever seen. But they are not just any model yachts. Each one is some 2 metres high and there is one of every successful America’s Cup defender or challenger since the Cup started in 1851. And the whole collection has been put together by de Kersauson. Pictured here (top) is the first challenger, schooner America.
