Ten British sailors are competing in the America's Cup World Series in multinational teams
There may be no British team in the America’s Cup World Series, but there are 10 British sailors taking part, spread out among multinational teams.
Here they are: Top row left to right: Ed Wright (Green Comm); Mark Bulkele (Team Korea); Chris Brittle (Team Korea); Will Howden (China Team); Iain Percy (Artemis Racing).
Bottom row left to right: Matt Cornwell (Team Korea); Chris Draper (Team Korea); Pete Cumming (Green Comm); Simon Hiscocks (Green Comm); Peter Greenhalgh (Energy Team).
One of the newer crews is China Team. Their ambition is to train up and bring on some newbie Chinese sailors. The current crew includes a basketball player, who was quoted earlier this week saying that sailing was a lot more different than he had expected!
So, previous multihull experience is not a pre-requisite, and on that note: anything missing from the representation of this line up, do you think? 😉
