Anyone got a GCSE in art or graphic design?

It’s a real pity that the mighty Cowes Week is without a main sponsor this year, but did they really have to advertise it so blatantly with this dismal logo?

Maybe the amateur look is deliberate. Surely no-one could come up with this awful typeface accidentally unless they spent hours poring over a font catalogue searching for something ‘ironic’. It looks like it’s from the front cover of a 1980s rag mag.

And that boat device… Did they take their inspiration from the Tinker Tramp Owners’ Association? I think so.
