The new Island Packet SP Cruiser has been causing a stir round ours. You can see why from this publicity shot. Here’s a boat that cocks a snook (or something like that) at the conventional notions of form over function.

I checked out the SP Cruiser at the boat show in London. The SP stands for Sail/Power, and apparently it’s designed to appeal to motorboaters who want a bit of sail and sailors who aren’t entirely ready to cross to The Dark Side.
