Thanks to everyone who emailed to say the missing schooner en route from Vanuatu had been found, merrily sailing along 760km north of New Zealand. So, not missing at all, and found by an RNZAF Orion.

Strange story. She was reported missing because she was overdue. Perhaps she ran out of wind, as sailing vessels sometimes do?
