Last week, I wondered: where did this unfortunate Sunsail yacht sink ?

There were lots of suggestions: Middle Reef, Cades Reef, South Sands Island. But the answer is Mamora Reef, just outside Mamora Bay, a mile or two north-east of English Harbour.

Julian O’Neill reports: ‘I was told that the yacht was sailing to English Harbour under autopilot, given this, had they not hit the reef they would havedefinitelyhit Standfast Point, which is about 250ft high and very hard!’
