These quite superb shots by maestro Thierry Martinez show some of the action at Les Voiles de St Tropez. – which, very sadly, I am forced to look at digitally.
The photo on the right is a real beauty: perfect composition. It’s the little 11m gaffer Djinn dwarfed by the restored Fife design Mariquita (125ft LOA) and, to windward, overshadowed by the towering 172ft mast of Lulworth.
Next is another Fife design, Moonbeam, lining up alongside Mariquita and Lulworth.
And finally the bowman gets a good dousing on Partridge, one of the oldest yachts, a 1885 vintage Camper & Nicholson.
