Here’s a beautifully classic, timeless photo, by Paul Wyeth of the 6 Metre Worlds, which ended today in Cowes.

Over 40 yachts of different vintages built to the 100-year-old Metre rule joined battle in the Solent, from Irishman Sean Cullinan’s 6 Metre Cailin, built in 1913 and completely restored in 2006, to Tom Richardson’s Ian Howlett-designed 6 Metre Georgia, built at Tom’s Elephant Boatyard in Bursledon in 1990.
