We’re so lucky in the sailing media that some of the most creative and talented photographers in the world specialise in images of yachts and yacht racing.

Occasionally you see the results of the same loving attention given to video as to stills photography, and here is a prime example. Have a look at this gentle, beautiful video shot by Amory Ross of US Star sailor Andy Horton.

Amory has managed to capture and bring to life some exquisite portraiture. This sort of work is incredibly time consuming to storyboard, shoot and edit, but is a wonderful example of what can be done, and I hope we can look forward to lots more of it.
