Could the future of the 33rd America’s Cup be decided today?

The recommendations of the three wise men appointed by both Alinghi and BMW Oracle Graham McKenzie (NZL), David Tillett (AUS) and Bryan Willis (GBR) will be received by the New York Court today (Monday 9 Nov) for which the five outstanding issues will be decided. Within the list there are some crucial issues that could have a major influence on the outcome of the 33rd America’s Cup.

In addition, we might just know where the event will be later today. Will it be Valencia, Australia or somewhere else in the Southern hemisphere?

Meanwhile, when it comes to the issue of the venue for the 33rd America’s Cup, representatives from both sides met over the weekend to try to come to some agreement. While talks were ‘cordial’ they were also ‘inconclusive’, yet both sides will have to report to Justice Kornreich later today on the venue and timing questions addressed in Court last Friday.

Can we dare to hope that a date and venue will be written in ink?
