Breaking the outright speed record over 500m was outstanding, but two days later the team had taken the nautical mile record on a course that is only 1.04 nm long and leaves no margin for error.

With a dip in the weather and a few days to allow their achievements to sink in, Larsen’s team has produced a superb 4min edited video on breaking the mile record.

Complete with audio, the man who has spent ten years climbing the speed curve describes his run as ‘really smoking’.
