With the J Class returning to the Solent next week for the much-anticipated Royal Yacht Squadron Bicentenary regatta, here is a chance to relive the superb recent Falmouth event from June 2015.
This professionally shot and edited film by OCT Films, which includes some prime footage of the yachts in action from the water and from onboard, helps show why both the J Class and Falmouth are so revered.
The aerial angles from the final race are worth the wait. And the interviews with the owners and pro crews, including America’s Cup veteran kiwis Murray Jones, Don Cowie, John Cutler and Tom Dodson, give it an intimate feel and helps show why both the J Class and their crew have no age barrier.
This is some of the world’s best sailing some of the most beautiful yachts in the world, in a pretty charming location… What more can a sailing enthusiast ask for?

Filmed and edited by Emma Jones, it also harnesses some of the on-water action, together with interviews ashore as the action unfolds. Apologies for the rambling from the YW guy however…
