The Schroders London Boat Show has posted attendance of 108,000 visitors after seven days of its 11-day run.
That compares to 70,000 at the same point last year when the show was based in the Earls Court exhibition centre, maintaining the increase of 54 per cent recorded after the first weekend (see previous news story here). An early poll of exhibitors by IBI indicates that business levels are around the levels of the previous year, which in turn would point towards the organisers’ success at attracting a broader audience to previously neglected categories such as windsurfing, classic boats and traditional inland waterways cruising.
Despite some detail niggles about catering and transport the new ExCel venue appears to be universally recognised as the right move.
