The British weather played havoc with Round 3 of the UK Skiff Grand Prix as last week’s gales disrupted the UK container ports carrying most of the fleet which were returning from the recent International Championships in Sardinia. When it was discovered that the containers would not arrive in time it was too late to cancel the event.

Frank Newton and the team from Royal Thames Y.C. laid on an excellent short course racing for the much depleted fleet. The wind also played a further part, as the fleet decided to stay ashore on Sunday, rather than risk damage in a rising 25 knots breeze.
