Four victories out of six matches yesterday means the Italian team from the Società Velica di Barcola – Grignano of Trieste (competitors: Matteo Velicogna, Alice Spangaro, Stefania Favaretto, Francesca Mocnick, Stefano Cherin and Simone Sandri) has a place among the first four Teams in this afternoon’s European Team Championship class 420 semi-final at the Eurosaf 2004 420 European championship in Trento, Itlay.

However, top of the league table is GBR who so far have scored six wins out of six. The team includes crew: Stuart Hudson, Linda Eadie, Dom Johnson, Debs Kershaw, John Greenland and Bevis Field. In second position is the other British team – GBR Two – (Ben Field, Karen Greenland, Andrew Cornahm, Hamish Walker, Tom Hebbert and Suzie Short.

The finals will be sailed on Saturday 11 September.
