Sunny skies and predominantly light and shifty conditions greeted 15 49ers to Rutland Sailing Club on 23-24 March for one of the first open meetings of the season.

A total of eight races were held and, in the shifty conditions, Ben McCrane and James Perry posted only one position outside the top three to take an overall win. Roger Gilbert and James Stewart, also with only one finish out the top three, finished one point behind in second. Mark and Paul Dell took third.
