French sailor, Christine Briand is joining Lisa McDonald’s Amer Sports Too for the last two legs of the Volvo Ocean Race. Christine, who sailed on sailed on EF Education during the last Whitbread Round the World Race in 1996/97, will call the tactics and share the helm for the 1,100nm leg to Gothenburg which starts on 25 May and on the 250nm last leg to Kiel, Germany.

Lisa McDonald commented: ‘It is great that Christine was available. She is a great sailor and we sailed together in the last Whitbread. She will be an important asset in these two legs.”
