Going into the last day of the 29er European Championship in Alassio on Sunday 26 August John Pink and Tom Weeks have an unbeatable lead. They have now won the World, European and national championships in 2001 which is an amazing achievement from a pair who have sailed with incredible maturity.

Second place looks to be safe for John Gimson and Simon Marks. The other places in the top four will be decided today as well, Charlote Odell and Dave Hall in third, Jonny Marshall and Sam Firkins in fourth and Alex Hopson and Nick Murphy only have four points between them. Sailing seems predictable with very light sea breezes coming in late in the day – most racing hasn’t finished until the evening.
