Tom Smedley and Stevie Wilson are the new 29er European champions. After a day of racing in more wind than any day in the event at Travemude, Germany, the lead changed four times over the four races held.

In the stronger breezes and more familiar race the British teams pulled some tricks out of the bag to take first and third. A disqualification for Evans and Peacock in a race they won cost them second place overall. Pepe Bettini and Federerico Vilambrossa had a terrible day losing what seemed to be an event in the bag. Lauri Lehtinen and Mikka Pennenen continued their steady series to gain a well deserved second.
