ACCBank Cork Week will present Corinthian Cup to winning entered competitor from Class IRC 0
As entries continue to arrive at Race Headquarters in Crosshaven for ACCBank Cork Week 2008, the amateur ethos of the regatta has been further reinforced by the presentation to organisers of the Corinthian Cup by the Sisk Group for competition in the highly competitive Class IRC 0.
Eligibility to compete for this trophy has been finalised and those boats in this class with one ISAF classified Group 3 sailor only amongst the crew will be entitled to compete. Skippers are required to submit their crew list with details of crew classifications prior to registration.
The Race Committee are confident that this Cup will further enhance the reputation of Cork Week as a regatta to suit sailors and yachts of all categories.
Entries continue to grow in all classes and particularly so in the J109 and SB3 One Design Classes. The J109’s are having their Irish Championships as part of the regatta and their current entry level is 27 boats, which will ensure a hotly contested title while the SB3 class expect in excess of 40 competitors.
The International Invitation Series to be held in J80’s on Saturday 12 July also promises to be an exciting opening feature to the week’s racing with wide interest from both Irish and international sailors in the opportunity to participate in a level rating class against some of worlds most prominent sailors.
ACCBank Cork Week takes place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club, Crosshaven, Co. Cork from July 12 to 18. For full information visit please visit www.accbankcorkweek.ie.
