Crewsaver have been confirmed as title sponsors of this year’s Laser 4000 and Laser 5000 UK Series. Crewsaver kicked off their title sponsorship at Grafham Water Sailing Club earlier this month, where over 150 sailors competed in a thrilling first round of the UK Series.

“The first Crewsaver sponsored Laser 4000 event was a great success with two days of excellent sailing, the usual slick hospitality from Grafham, and some excellent prizes from the sponsor!” said Hugh Watson, a UK Series competitor following the event.

Action from the Crewsaver UK Series continues at Weymouth (23-24 June), Hayling Island (28-29 July) and at Stokes Bay SC (11-12 August).

While Crewsaver take over from Audi as title sponsors of the 2001 UK Series, Audi are continuing their support of the 2001 EuroCup – the pinnacle of the Grand Prix Laser 4000 and Laser 5000 racing calendar. The first round of the EuroCup was in Quiberon, France last May Bank Holiday and the tour continues to the dramatic Riva del Garda, Italy (12-15 July). The grand finale is in Plymouth (26-31 August) where the EuroCup joins the UK nationals for the biggest event on the Laser 4000 and Laser 5000 calendar.
