Didier Levillain competing in Class 3 monohull fleet in the Route du Rhum aboard A Fond Contre loa Spondylarthrite activated his distress beacon earlier today.

Early reports indicate that the yacht, which is located approximately 160 miles from Cape Finisterre, is waterlogged with the pumps unable to cope with the water ingress. The MRCC Falmouth are coordinating the rescue.
