Having briefly lost the lead to News Corp overnight, Djuice has fought back and is now sailing 10 miles north with a three-mile advantage. While these two still enjoy 25 to 30 knots of wind, the northerly group with SEB, ASSA ABLOY and illbruck already report about five knots less. This could well turn around as a new breeze from north-west with up to 40 knots is said to set in from the north first.
Amer Sports One is struggling to keep the pace with almost two knots less average 24-hour speed, most likely due to less wind. Amer Sports Too is sailing in a mere 11 knots of breeze that slowed them down to less than 10 knots.
All the yacht’s systems report warmer weather as the current wind comes from the warmer north instead from Antarctica. Tyco is set to DNF (did not finish) receiving one point for this leg.
