The website for the Ellen MacArthur Trust Skandia Round Britain Voyage of Discovery is now live. By visiting www.roundbritain.org you can follow the progress of Scarlett Oyster as she sails the 2000nm around Great Britain.

Read blogs from Ellen and the crew, buy tickets to join an audience with Ellen MacArthur, and show your support for the Trust by buying a mile of the voyage and contributing to the fundraising target of £100,000.

The voyage starts from Cowes on Sunday 3 May, and 85 young people will sail the 48 foot yacht Scarlet Oyster 2000 nautical miles on a four month voyage – stopping at 17 ports around Great Britain including: Dover, London, Ipswich, Hull, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Belfast, Douglas, Liverpool, Cardiff and Torquay. Ellen MacArthur will sail on a number of legs, including the first to Brighton.

The website is equipped with an interactive tracking map, and once the trip begins it will update the boat’s position every hour. Visitors will also have the ability to watch video and listen to audio.

In conjunction with the voyage, tickets can be purchased through the website for a series of talks being given by Ellen about her life and career. The talks are the first time Ellen has spoken publicly since her record breaking round the world sail in 2005. For full details on dates and locations of the talks click here .
