Hayling Island Sailing Club will host the Glyn Charles Pursuit Race on Monday 31 May 2004. The race will raise money for the John Merricks Trust and is a good opportunity to get the dinghy out of the garage and race around Chichester harbour.

Glyn Charles was a talented sailor who tragically drowned in the 1998 Sydney Hobart race. This will be the sixth time that a race around Chichester Harbour has been organised to remember and honour Glyn. The race retains a unique friendly atmosphere, with Olympic medallists competing against families, all celebrating Glyn’s life.
