Wildwind Sailing Holidays is looking for new-sailors in an initiative to kick start the 2001 season.
Wildwind Sailing Holidays, one of Europe’s largest catamaran and mono-hull sailing centre, is looking for new-sailors in an initiative to kick start the 2001 season at home and abroad.
New-sailors are being offered introductions to sailing and windsurfing at the price of a non-activity holiday. They will also be given a free ‘Starter Pack’ comprising a Gul Garda buoyancy aid, RYA membership leaflet and an invite to their local sailing club.
Simon Morgan (pictured left), Wildwind founder, former UK and current Greek Hobie 16 champion, sums up the reasoning for the initiative: “There’s never been a better time to get into, sailing. I think everyone in the industry would agree that once people are hooked, it’s easier to keep them in the sport. Our aim is to introduce people to sailing and windsurfing in ideal conditions here in Vassiliki, then ensure everybody leaves knowing where they can sail at home.”
The fleet has over 30 new Hobie catamarans, and an extensive range of monohulls from Laser 2s to the 49er. Sailors of all abilities find something perfect for their level and something to work towards.
