Jean Luc Van Den Heede is currently enjoying the Christmas festivities aboard Adrien on his singlehanded round the world record attempt. He’s doubly pleased with himself today having succeeded in hanging the satellite and sending photographs and video back home. Other tasks that Jean Luc plans to complete today is breadmaking! “I will make the first of my five loaves of bread.” Reported jean Luc from the boat this morning, “I had planned some for Christmas, one for New Year’s Day for the handle meridian line, one for Leuwin and one for Bonne Hope. I believe that I will shift that of the handle meridian line to the return of the equator, that will have set out again better. The problem of the bread it is that, when it is made, that smells so much good in the boat that it is hard to resist the desire for eating it immediately!
“Otherwise my small solitary midnight supper will be celebrated with foie gras, shell Saint Jacques, duck in orange sauce, Camembert cheese and an orange. And a small aperitif, of course. Merry Christmas to all.”
