Nick Bubb sailing Kenmore Property Group/John Merricks Sailing Trust is currently lying third in the Mini Fastnet race which started on Sunday

Mini Transat sailor Nick Bubb has added to the £5,000 grant he received from the John Merricks Sailing Trust last week by securing a sponsorship deal with Kenmore Property Group.

Kenmore Property Group, a UK commercial investment and development company, announced yesterday that they would support Bubb for the remainder of his campaign as title sponsors. John Kennedy, Chairman of Kenmore commented: “As a keen sailor myself I am delighted to support Nick in this phase of his career. Nick and his team have impressed me with their initiative and total dedication in building the boat and campaigning it this season with such success. Nick’s talent has been recognized by the John Merricks Sailing Trust and I am sure that with Kenmore’s further support he will be able to continue his success on the water.”

Just three days in to the Mini Fastnet race Bubb and his crewman for this doublehanded race, John Parker, sailing aboard Kenmore Property Group/John Merricks Sailing Trust built on their strong start and are currently lying third overall. A report from the boat shows that westerly winds have propelled the fleet across the Irish Sea and the leaders are now only 30 miles from the Fastnet rock.
