After eight tricky races the Italian Pietro Sibello is still leading the 49er Palamos Christmas regatta although it’s been hard fight between all the boats.

Apart from some teams the results have been as shifty as the wind. The Portuguese Lima-Andrade finished first on the third race but 10th and 11th in the last two. The French Audineau-Christidis dropped from a second place to a 14th and 11th. The Spanish Paez-de Bricio started with a 20th place but finished the last two races with a 1st and third places. The shifts were easily about 50 degrees. Like yesterday sailors had to focus a lot and above all look outside the boat and watch the fleet.
