The 2002 International Melges 24 North American Championship will be held in Annapolis, Maryland from April 1-6. The members of Melges 24 Fleet and Eastport Yacht Club will host the event look forward to welcoming the top one-design keelboat sailors. A Chesapeake Bay springtime offers excellent conditions both on and off the water, and exceptionally close and exciting racing is guaranteed. Typical temperatures in this area reach an average high of 65 degrees and an average low of 45 degrees.
Racing begins on Wednesday 3 April, and Principal Race Officer Jeff Borland plans ten races for the participants. Full days of sailing and full evenings of socialising are scheduled.
