Australian-born Neil Graham has joined Offshore Challenges Sailing Team as overall Operations Director overseeing racing projects including Ellen MacArthur’s Jules Verne record attempt on board the maxi catamaran Kingfisher II. Graham was Shore Manager for Assa Abbloy’s Volvo Ocean Race campaign and oversaw the build and technical developments of the Volvo boats for Assa. He has been a professional yachtsman since 1974 sailing in almost every major yacht race. Two Whitbread Round The World campaigns (Rothmans/Silk Cut), six Admiral Cup’s, part of the winning One Ton Cup crew in 1985, the list is very long!
Neil Graham commented: “Joining Offshore Challenges gives me the opportunity of working on projects that are much more interesting from a development point of view – Open 50s and 60s, monster catamarans and cutting-edeg trimarans are not bound by the same rules as other projects I have been involved in. There is a much cleaner sheet of paper to start with and I’m looking forward to that and working with a team of very committed people who show great passion for this sport.”
