Naval architect, marine engineer and chief designer on several America’s Cup projects, TJ Perrotti, has opened a new design office in Newport, Rhode Island.

The company’s recent projects include the development of keel and rudder details for a custom 125ft performance ketch and hull and rig improvements for a pair of classic yachts.

Perrotti had been chief designer at Pedrick Yacht Designs and had been responsible for Stars&Stripes (Louis Vuitton Cup winner and America’s Cup contender), and the 90ft classic sloop Savannah.
