EDS has announced that it will be sponsoring the next EDS Atlantic Challenge in 2005.

Last night in a prize-giving ceremony in St Malo, the following awards were given:

1st prize – Kingfisher awarded 300,000 ff along with the EDS Atlantic Challenge trophy and figurehead sculpture

2nd prize – Sill 150,000 ff along with trophy and an axe

3rd prize – Ecover 100,000 ff, trophy and a picture from the city of St Malo (now officially the home of the EDS Atlantic Challenge)

The now-traditional bottle of grappa went to FILA, the runners up for the Leg 5 Communications Award. A dinner for the full crew at their favourite restaurant in St Malo went to Nick Moloney and Kingfisher. FILA was also honoured separately for her astounding 445-mile run, just 21 miles shy of the record 467.5 set by Bernard Stamm.
