On Saturday morning at 0942 GMT Orange II the maxi-catamaran skippered by Bruno Peyron, along with a crew of 10 crossed the finish line to beat the Mediterranean record between Marseilles and Carthage (Tunisia) in 17h 56min and 13 seconds. They beat the previous record held by Steve Fossett (PlayStation) by 50 minutes.
