Bruno Peyron and his maxi-cat team aboard Orange 2 are currently on standby
Bruno Peyron (pictured) and his team aboard the 120ft maxi-cat Orange 2 are currently on standby awaiting a weather window to set off on the global speed challenge for the Jules Verne Trophy.
Skipper, Peyron has officially announced the names of 13 men who will accompany him round the world. The latest recruit is Swiss navigator Bernard Stamm.

The current record for the Jules Verne Trophy has been held since 29 April 2004 by Olivier de Kersauson and the team of Geronimo clocking up a time of 63 days 13h 59mins. The round the world record is held by American Steve Fossett in 58 days 9h 32mins, since 5 April 2004.
